Living with a "Stage" that lets you feel the seasons (Tokyo)

In Greenwich, a place that fulfills your soul is called a "Life Place."
This is an important message that we want to convey through our interior design, born from a certain experience of our representative, Imada .

Bringing furniture that you truly like into your room can change your mood, make you feel more positive, and give you new ideas.
We want to provide a place where each person can experience the inner richness that they possess.
We want to help you realize your "Life Place."
With this in mind, Greenwich offers interior coordination that is tailored to the lifestyle and feelings of each individual customer.

This time, we interviewed customers who experienced our coordination service and asked them how they created and experienced their "Life Place."

-What changes have you noticed in your life and your mind since getting new furniture?

(Customer: Omitted) For me, this sideboard is like a "stage" in my life. Like the decoration of a tokonoma, I use it as a spot to display things I like and things that have a seasonal feel. I like being able to feel the seasons while at home , and it feels a little more luxurious than having a TV.

When choosing items, the criterion was always "whether or not it would match the sideboard." I also purchased additional furniture that was made of the same walnut, and I enjoy the feeling of creating a space with the sideboard as the main feature.

Since we got the sideboard, we've been going out shopping more often to find things to put on it.
I've always loved folk art and traditional crafts, but I started to want to change the things I had on display with the seasons, so I started buying more.
We don't have the custom of decorating with flowers, but we buy plum trees and decorate them during New Year's.

I feel like I've found more things I like and have grown to love them more deeply, and the space has become one where I can relax and be myself more.

-Why did you choose Greenwich?

I knew about Greenwich and had been looking at their website for a while. I was particularly attracted to their original sideboard, so when I decided to move, I decided to buy it.
I had been looking for a sideboard for a long time, and I really liked the fact that they chose materials that will change over time, such as the warmth of the solid wood and the brass handles.

I collect plates as a hobby, and I like plates with a rough texture and a warm, handmade feel. I think my original sideboard is a perfect fit for my preference for things made from high-quality materials.
I particularly like the feel of the solid wood, and by actually using it at home I can feel the charm of the material even more, such as the way the grain of the wood changes depending on the direction of the sunlight.

I was also happy that they were willing to accommodate my requests regarding furniture. I thought it would be nice to have wooden doors on the sideboard instead of the usual glass, so I asked the staff about it, and they were able to semi-customize it for wooden doors. In the end, I bought both the wooden doors and the glass doors so I could enjoy two different patterns.

-What was good about Greenwich's coordination consultation

Although I wanted to have a total coordination for my move, I hadn't decided on the specific furniture I wanted. So I gave the staff photos and floor plans that showed the atmosphere of the room, and they suggested furniture that would suit it. After exchanging emails several times as well as in person, I ended up purchasing a stool, side table, and lighting along with a sideboard. Some of the furniture was something I would never have thought of myself, so I'm glad I consulted with them on coordination. For example , we were able to choosethe Paper Cord stool thanks to a staff member's suggestion. We were originally considering a Y-shaped chair, but as the built-in table is very close to the kitchen, we were advised that "a chair with a backrest or arms may restrict movement in the kitchen," so we decided on a stool, which was not originally on our list. It doesn't feel oppressive and makes the room look spacious, so we think we made the right choice by choosing a stool.

I like to cook at home and often invite friends over for meals on my days off, so I like having a table near the kitchen. By choosing furniture based on the type of lifestyle I wanted to live, I was able to create a space that felt natural and comfortable.

-Comments from staff

Thank you for consulting us at this important time, when you are moving to a new home and starting a new life.
Based on the sideboard that the customer desired, we considered each of these questions together, asking questions such as "Where should we eat? How should we spend time with guests? How would we feel comfortable spending our time on a daily basis?" and how they would like to live in the future.
I still remember what he said about his ideal image: "I want to harmonize natural materials with Scandinavian furniture and art. I want to create a space that celebrates shadows."

I imagine that even after delivery, you continued to experiment with creating the room, but what made me happiest was being able to see the space that truly embodied In Praise of Shadows, full of your personal style and sense, and your lively expression, and I felt that I was able to fulfill my role to a certain extent (thank you).

On a side note, you were faced with a choice between two colors for the PH5. Personally, I thought white was the right choice! It was a great choice! I was so excited (laughs).

(Daikanyama store/Shibuya)

The owner of this new home says that he likes the warm atmosphere of the town. "I decided on this house because I really liked it, and I wanted to find good furniture to go with it, so I consulted Greenwich."

The side table is "light and easy to use." It matches well with the furniture she already had, and is useful for drinking coffee, placing skin care products, and spending time on the sofa.

The Louis Poulsen pendant lightPH5 , which she had always wanted, was selected in monochrome white to blend in well with the space. Downlights were already installed on the ceiling, but she usually keeps the pendant light on because she feels more relaxed in the dark.

Our customer enjoys cooking as a hobby and generally eats at home. She also likes collecting plates, and her standard for choosing them is "ones that make the food look delicious."
