Sarugaku Festival -2019-
Now that October has arrived and autumn is gradually approaching, many people are probably spending more time outdoors.
The Sarugaku Festival will be held in Daikanyama for two days on October 13th (Sunday) and 14th (National Holiday).
This festival, which gathers many people once a year, is now in its 15th year. The number of participants increases every year, and the normally quiet Daikanyama area becomes lively over the two days. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the first Hillside Terrace construction, making it a special year.
Last year , Daikanyama store prepared a ring toss game as part of the event, which was enjoyed by many people, especially those with children. This year, we have prepared games that everyone can easily participate in. There will also be some token prizes, so please stop by while you're out and about.
The Danish Embassy, located close to Greenwich, also holds its annual Open Day! This is a rare opportunity to see inside the embassy, which is normally off-limits to the public.
Last year, children's eyes lit up at the Lego exhibit, but what will it be like this year? As staff who deal with Scandinavian furniture, this is one event we look forward to every year.
If you get hungry after looking around, head to the food corner, which has a wide variety of options.
At the Food Forum in Building F, "Tom's Sandwich," which sadly closed in April, will open a store! The store is across from Greeniche, and even though it has closed, it is a famous store that still has fans from time to time. It seems that you can enjoy hot dogs for a limited time.
There are also many other events that you can easily participate in, such as art, music, and handicraft workshops.
Hillside Terrace is a facility made up of multiple buildings, but one of the great things about this festival is that it is relatively compact and easy to get around. You can still enjoy it even if you only have a limited amount of time, such as just in the morning or from the evening.
Greeniche Daikanyama is located in Building C, so please be careful not to make a mistake when you come.
