Hello, I'm Watanabe Hirahi, a daily necessities enthusiast.

I love this weather, and I can't decide whether to wear short sleeves or long sleeves. It feels so good that I often go for walks, using the excuse of changing my mood from work.

I truly wish this season could continue forever. But I also think, if that were to happen, I wouldn't feel this weather was so special anymore... that's a bit off.

As I walk around, many things come to mind.

Tonight's dinner, the novel I'm reading, my weekend plans, plans for changing my wardrobe...

I usually just think about such things vaguely, but sometimes I get lost in the forest of thoughts, like I did earlier. It seems that autumn makes people more thoughtful.

Other than walking, I also enjoy reading. In spring, I can't concentrate because of hay fever, and in summer, my brain doesn't work well because of the heat. So, autumn is the best time to read a book.

It may be a bit of a stretch to say that this is all about reading, but this time I'd like to introduce some fantastic products related to books.

According to the craftsman in charge of the production, the thing he paid the most attention to was the thickness of the partition board. Making the wood thicker enhances the texture, but if you make a mistake it can look unrefined. On the other hand, if you make it too thin, the texture of the material disappears.

After much trial and error, we decided to adopt the current design, making the board as thin as possible and making the dividers trapezoidal. ...And that's how these bookends were born. I think I understand now why they're simple but not plain, and somehow exude a sense of richness.

This is a photo of my room. I usually have about 15 books, novels, essays, travelogues, etc. lined up, but I'm busy with work right now, so there are only reference materials. I buy them when I go for a walk, so my hobby books just keep piling up. I'd like to finish reading them before autumn is over.
