A space to enjoy life with cats (Tokyo)

In Greenwich, a place that fulfills your soul is called a "Life Place."
This is an important message that we want to convey through our interior design, born from a certain experience of our representative, Imada .

Bringing furniture that you truly like into your room can change your mood, make you feel more positive, and give you new ideas.
We want to provide a place where each person can experience the inner richness that they possess.
We want to help you realize your "Life Place."
With this in mind, Greenwich offers interior coordination that is tailored to the lifestyle and feelings of each individual customer.

This time, we interviewed customers who experienced our coordination service and asked them how they created and experienced their "Life Place."

-What changes have you noticed in your life and your mind since getting new furniture?

(Customer: Omitted) I was choosing furniture with the image of "living with cats" in mind, and I like this Luu Sofa because it allows me to feel like my cats are always close to me. My cats climb on the backrest and relax here with me when I'm on the sofa, so I enjoy living with my cats close by.

Also, before we moved, our life revolved around a dining table and chairs, but this time we gave that up and chose a sofa. A sofa can make a smaller room look bigger, and the Luu Sofa in particular is a low sofa, so the ceiling feels higher. Our time at home has become even more relaxed and spacious.

I had furniture coordinated for my move, and just like choosing my furniture, I chose my new home based on the criteria of "living with cats." I heard that "good sunlight is important for cats," so I placed great importance on sunlight when choosing a home. Cats feel free there, and lots of sunlight is also good for humans.

My life isn't centered around my cat, but rather I enjoy living with my cat every day in a space where our mutual comfort levels naturally intertwine.

-Why did you choose Greenwich?

While I was looking at various furniture on websites and Instagram, the " Luu Sofa cat life model " came up as a recommendation. I was attracted by the photo of a cat sitting on the backrest, so I went to the Daikanyama store to see it and decided to buy it that day. The backrest of the regular Luu Sofa was wide enough for my cats, so I ultimately decided on the regular version.

When I posted a photo of the Luu Sofa I purchased on Instagram, I got comments from several friends who also have cats saying, "It looks great." I think the design, which allows cats to sit on the backrest and spend time together with their cats, is appealing to cat lovers as well.

When I choose things, I look for things that I can use for as long as possible and that I really like. One of the deciding factors for the original Luu Sofa was when the staff told me that maintenance and repairs would be available for many years. I don't know when I'll need to reupholster the sofa, but I think it's reassuring to know that I can ask about it if I ever need it.

-What was good about Greenwich's coordination consultation

What left an impression on me was how pleasant the service from the staff was. Even when I was choosing the fabric for my sofa, they didn't hold me in place the whole time, but instead gave me some time to think about it and I was able to choose without rushing. When I couldn't decide on a color, they brought me photos of sofas and gave me lots of advice from a professional perspective. I really liked the way they kept a comfortable distance and welcomed me.

In the end, I decided on a combination of gray and green. My two cats are gray and cream in color, so I chose a color that would suit them. I originally liked the tambourine pattern on the Mina Perhonen fabric, but I was also told that "you can enjoy the 'aging' process as it rubs off with use and a different color appears," which was a deciding factor. When living with cats, it's inevitable to worry about damage to the fabric, but I was attracted to the idea of being able to turn that into a positive thing.

I originally went to the store to look at a sofa, but I wanted to find furniture to go with this sofa, so they recommended the Luu Board and Luu Table from the same series. I also asked about the coordination with the idea of living with cats, so I also purchased a magazine rack to store cat goods. I always spend time at home comfortably with my cats.

-Comments from staff

Since the customer had originally considered a sofa from another store, we first conducted a simulation together to see if the main Lou sofa would suit her and her cats' lifestyle. As the customer knew her own preferences when it came to choosing fabrics, we tried to create time for her to consider without worrying about others, providing examples of combinations that she would like and things to use as a basis for her decision.
The coordinating items went together relatively smoothly, as the image of the lifestyle we wanted to have was already established during the process of selecting the sofa.

I think that bringing in all your furniture at once is a feeling of expectation, but also takes a little courage. Not just this time, but whenever I make a proposal, I want to think together with you about how you want to spend your time in your home in the future, and I did my best to accommodate.

We actually visited their home this time, and the living room was coordinated with a minimal number of colors, based on oak wood, and it was a space that seemed comfortable not only for people but also for their beloved cats. There was a place to relax, a place to eat, and a place to drink water. It was designed so that the cats could freely choose their own place, and we were happy that the Roo sofa we delivered was part of it.

And the idea of "putting items for playing with cats on a magazine rack" is something only a cat owner would come up with. I would never have thought of it. In addition, the shelves are lined with eye-catching cat goods, interior accessories, and lively plants. The space is packed with items that she has selected and cherished one by one, and more than just looking good, I was thrilled by the "comfort of people, plants, and cats coexisting."

I would be very happy if I could be of some help to you in choosing your furniture. Thank you very much!

Cat brushes and other cat items can be stored together in a magazine rack.

There are many cat-themed items in the room. "I also check Instagram for information on cat goods."

The cats' food and water containers also show a keen sense of design and material selection, and you can sense the company's commitment to "selecting items that can be loved for a long time."
