Creating the ideal space: "Izumo House"

At the Yonago store, we have many customers who purchase furniture when they build a new house. This time, we took the opportunity to consult on coordinating the furniture and deliver it.

The customer first came to our store after seeing Luu sofa on the Greenwich online shop. At that time, the customer brought photos of the exterior and interior of their home, as well as floor plans, which made it very easy to visualize and the process went smoothly.
There are three main points.

(1) Limited space

When building the house, various floor plan patterns were proposed, but in the end, they settled on a single-story house, and the living/dining room was limited to accommodate the owner's tastes. There was no intention to put a standard rectangular dining table in the dining room. By creating a courtyard to let in light, they decided on a round cafe table so that it could be easily taken out and used for barbecues and tea to change the mood.

⑵ There are three people in the family

A home and furniture suited to the lifestyle of a family of three. Deciding factors for furniture were size, design and purpose. The sofa is a Luu sofa , designed with the concept of being placed in the centre of the living/dining room to bring people together. We had them look at it on the online shop beforehand, and then decided on it after checking the size in the store. (We took our time with the fabric.) Although it is a compact sofa, it is actually designed to seat five people. It is a sofa with a wide range of uses, such as sitting on the backrest or arms and chatting with people in the kitchen, dining room or courtyard. Perfect for an owner with many friends!

3) The presence of objects

The customer wanted a chair that would be an object or decoration for the entrance, so we chose a Y -shaped chair. It will greet the customer when they come home or when guests come over. We had originally planned to use Y-shaped chairs for the dining room as well, but we decided to use FDB Möbler J46s to add some contrast.
Not only is the exterior beautiful, the interior is also simple and matches well with our furniture. We were also very impressed with the home that the owner and the architect created.
