September vintage furniture has arrived

Just when it seemed like the peak of summer was over, we've been hit by typhoons and sudden cold weather, and we've been at the mercy of the weather lately.

The September shipment to Daikanyama is focused on items for the dining scene. If you are looking for dining tables or vintage designer chairs, please take a look.

Kai Kristiansen NV31 Dining Chair D-R307D211C

Kai Christiansen is a designer who enjoys enduring popularity in Japan.

Several products have been reproduced by Miyazaki Furniture in Japan, and the NV31 is one of them.

Kai Kristiansen established his own design firm, taking inspiration from Koak Klint's design theories. His approach to design was "beautiful to look at, easy to use, ergonomic, economical, and environmentally friendly." This seems similar to the design theories of Børge Mogensen (FDB Møbler), who studied under Koak Klint and served as FDB's first designer.

The chair is made of rosewood, which has become rare these days, and is upholstered with mina perhonen fabric. The mina perhonen fabric balances out the heavy feel of rosewood.

The seat is removable, so it is easy to take it in for reupholstering. One of the definitions of good furniture is that it is easy to repair even if it breaks. By being able to easily send it for repairs, you can repair it and use it for a long time instead of throwing it away when it breaks.

Round Dining Table D-904D436

Vintage dining tables are now in stock.

Many of Greenwich's vintage items are made in Denmark, but this table is made in Sweden. The size is φ1100, which is not common for modern round tables. It is a size that is comfortable for about four people to eat.

The table edge is made of solid wood and has a cute design.

I think the appeal of a round table is that it can be placed anywhere. If a square table is not placed horizontally in the kitchen, it will look out of place, so the place where it can be placed is limited. In that respect, a round table can create a stylish room even if it is placed in a place that is out of place from the kitchen. It has the appeal of being able to change the atmosphere in any way depending on the interior sense of the person using it.

Finally, we would like to introduce you to some vintage bureaus.

The material is very similar to mahogany, but I'm not sure, so I'll leave it as unknown. It's quite heavy as it looks. It's one of the most functional bureaus, with many drawers and a mirror, so It can also serve as a dresser.

Personally, I like the design of the legs; having legs rather than just being a box makes it look neat and cool.
