FLAT DESIGN OFFICE is an architectural firm located in Saihaku District, Tottori Prefecture.
We handle a wide range of projects from residential to commercial.

At Greenwich, we have cooperated with the client eight times in the past, being completely entrusted with the furniture for preview parties and display coordination according to the client's taste each time. There are also cases where we hold meetings with the client to coordinate the interior at the same time as deciding on the design and interior.

We received a request from Takuma Honda, an architect, who has been working on the project since FLAT DESIGN OFFICE was founded. We were touched by Honda's passion, who said, "Only Greenwich could come up with an interior design that matches our concept." We at Greenwich also sympathized with the concept of "making people happy through architecture."

Honda's buildings are often praised by users for their design. This is because we have seen several of his buildings, which have simple, uncluttered exteriors and functional interiors, and they are all very appealing.

Even more important is safety and security.
Housing performance such as earthquake resistance, durability, energy efficiency, comfort, and reduced deterioration are "qualities that must be ensured responsibly precisely because they are invisible."

Greenwich : Why did you choose Greenwich Furniture?
Honda-san : It was a big factor that we had the same concept, but it was also a big factor that the wood used and the Scandinavian manufacturers and brands we deal with matched my design. Another reason was that I could empathize with Greenwich's way of thinking about lifestyle proposals.
Just like us, people use solid wood because they grow attached to it after using it for a long time, and we think that by building houses with local solid wood, we can contribute to the local community and also create an even greater attachment to our homes. We want to connect with our customers through our architecture.

Greenwich : I see. Speaking of Scandinavian brands, you're a big fan of HAY, aren't you?
Honda-san : Yes, that's right. I like the simple design. Also, because it's a Scandinavian brand, it comes in a colorful variation, or maybe you could call it Scandinavian colors. I think the pale coloring suits my architecture. The reasonable price means I can recommend it to a wide range of people.

Greenwich : How have customers responded to Greenwich furniture?
Honda-san : I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested. I like Greenwich's furniture, so maybe it's because I'm so passionate about it when I recommend it, but the response is so good that everyone considers it at least once. Many of our clients are particular about their interiors, and I have a strong desire for them to use things that can be used for a long time, have a high design quality, and that they can grow to love. The response at the completed building viewing events has been very good.

Greenwich : Thank you.
Living with carefully selected items, for example, can make the meals you eat with your family at the dining table taste better every day, or make your desk in your study a place where you can concentrate better. I think interior design can enrich people's lives and also help them grow. Furthermore, I think that sharing this rich sensibility with friends, colleagues at work, and people in the community can enrich those around you. Greenwich wants to spread the word to the local people from our store!
In terms of contributing to the local community, I think they have something in common in that they both use materials produced in the prefecture.

Honda-san : That's a very idealistic way of thinking. Values ​​vary from person to person, and even furniture that needs replacing can be very appealing to some people and bring them a sense of richness. What we want to propose is something that can be used for a long time, and is safe and secure, and we hope to increase the number of people who can empathize with that.

Many people are particular about the design of their home, but if they end up buying the cheapest furniture possible due to budgetary constraints, it would be a waste of their precious home.
We believe that a home is complete with furniture.
