The other day, when I was walking around Nakameguro, I saw many people enjoying themselves to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Such a pleasant spring season has arrived.

This month we have a lot of vintage furniture in stock, including classic chairs by Arne Jacobsen and Børge Mogensen.

Arne Jacobsen Chair 602D107A

This chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen for a Danish elementary school in 1955. It is a rare item that is no longer in production and can only be seen as a vintage item. Like Jacobsen's representative works, the Seven Chair and the Ant Chair, the shape of the chair matches well with the "Mosquito Chair" and is still loved by many people today.

It was manufactured by Fritz Hansen, one of Denmark's leading furniture manufacturers. The designer behind the molded plywood chair is also responsible for many other famous chairs, including the Ant Chair and the Seven Chair. Please check out his other chairs as well.

I own both the Ant Chair and the Seven Chair at home, and personally I feel that the back is more gentle on the chair than the legs.

Borge Mogensen Dining Chair R507D427C

Next is the chair designed by Børge Mogensen, the first head of design at FDB Møbler.

As mentioned above, after leaving FDB Møbler and going independent, he has collaborated with many manufacturers to design furniture, including Fredericia and CARL HANSEN & SØN, which are synonymous with Scandinavian Danish furniture. This product is simple and typical of Mogensen. However, the seating is comfortable and suitable for long periods of work.

The upholstery is made of Tonica 763 from Kvadrat, a long-established Danish brand.
