北欧照明の中でも代表的なペンダントライト

フィンランドモダニズムの父アルヴァ・アアルトがアルテック創業の2年後に自らデザインしたゴールデンベル。 こちらはもともと当時、Ravintola Savoyというレストランのためにデザインされました。
ラヴィントラ・サヴォイはヘルシンキの中心地、もっとも華やかなエスプラディ通り沿いの8階に今でもあり、美しい街並みを見ながら食事が楽しめる老舗レストランで内装すべてアアルトがおこなっていますので、素晴らしい空間に仕上がっています。花瓶もアアルトがデザインしたイッタラが使用されています。
なめらかな流線型で作られたフォルムは、美しい輝きを放ち、また開口部近くのスリットから少しだけこぼれる光が、壁にまた美しい陰影を落とします。
映画カモメ食堂の舞台となったラヴィントラスオミにも使われており、北欧照明の代表的な存在です。
