When you order bifoclas or varifocals we send the frames out to you before making your prescription lenses. You will use the frames to take some important measurments. String Pocket 誕生20周の限定カラーが4色登場

デザイナーであるNils Strinning(ニルス・ストリニング)夫妻が暮らしたスウェーデンの首都にインスピレーションを得た新色のString Pocket。


幅60cm、奥行き15cm、高さ50cmと、stringシリーズの中で最も小さいpocketは
CDや文庫本がぴったりと収まるお手頃なサイズ。

飾る場所に合わせた使い方でスマートな魅せる収納スペースが出来上がります。

Tegnérgrön (テグネルグリョン)

Stockholmの中心にある緑豊かな庭園、Tegnérlunden(テグネルンデン)に由来するグリーンカラー。

18世紀に活躍したスウェーデンの詩人Esaias Tegnér（エサイアス・テグネール）にちなんで名付けられたTegnérlundenは
街で最も古い公園の一つで、文学と芸術が交わる静寂と考察の場です。

この近くに住居をかまえ、その作品が何世代にもわたって影響を与えた作家August Strindberg(アウグスト・ストリンドベリ)や、
「長くつ下のピッピ」や「ロッタちゃん」で知られる作家Astrid Lindgren(アストリッド・リンドグレーン)の銅像が設置されています。

Tegnérlundenは、作家や芸術家からインスピレーションを受ける場所として知られており、ストックホルムの文化遺産のユニークな要素となっています。

String®は、1949年にスウェーデンの建築家であるNils Strining（ニルス・ストリニング）によってデザインされました。

その誕生のきっかけとなったのが、1949年、スウェーデンの大手出版社ボニエールが主催した収納家具のコンペでした。
「ゆとり（スペース）があれば人々はもっと本を買う」という気づきをもとに、手頃な価格で発送・組み立て・設置が簡単な収納棚をテーマに実施しました。

そのコンペに参加した、ニルス・ストリニングと妻のカイサ・ストリニングは、独創的な発想で最優秀賞を受賞。
それは壁に取り付けられ、柔軟性に優れ、かつ軽やかでミニマムな収納棚で、これこそがString®の始まりとなりました。
このデザインをきっかけに、ニルス・ストリニングは現代のスカンジナビアンデザイン（北欧デザイン）の礎を気づいた『創始者』として、今なお世界的にも高く評価されています。

それから数年で、ニルスとカイサはString® systemをさらに洗練させ、
美しさだけでなく機能性にも優れたシェルフを確立しました。
さらには、棚やキャビネット、折り畳み式テーブルなどを追加して、
時代を超えて無限に拡張・改良できる収納システムを生み出したのです。
