When you order bifoclas or varifocals we send the frames out to you before making your prescription lenses. You will use the frames to take some important measurments. Next, you'll send back your frames free of charge so that we can produce your perfect prescription lenses. 家具職人としての道筋

｢家具は人々を幸せにする｣を信条に、生涯に渡り家具を作り続けてきたモーエンセン。デンマーク王立アカデミーでハンス・J・ウェグナーと出会い、そしてコーア・クリントの弟子として働いた下積み時代。当時FDB代表を務めていたフレデリック・ニールセンとの出会いは、デンマーク家具業界に大きな革命をもたらすこととなります。

モーエンセンのデザイン哲学とは？

モーエンセンの特徴ともいえるシンプルで堅実なデザイン。その全てにコーア・クリントの教えがあります。家具をただ形にするだけではなく、収納物の採寸からはじまり人間工学に基づいて設計される家具は、長い時間をかけてようやく誕生するのです。

日本が江戸時代後期であった1866年、デンマークでは一般の人々が日常に不可欠な食品をより最適に入手出来る よう、地域神父クリスチャン・ソンネが流通の仕組みを構築し、FDB の前身となる協同組合を結成しました。

その後、デンマークのユトランド半島で日常生活協会を統括していたセブリン・ヨーエンセンは、ソンネが発足 したような仕組みを持つ様々な分野の協同組合を一つに束ね、1896 年1 月1 日にFDB＝デンマーク生活協同組合 連合会を設立しました。そして1942年にインテリア事業の角度から消費者の生活水準向上を目指し、FDB 内に 家具部門が組織化されFDB モブラーは誕生しました。

「丈夫で、美しく、機能的、そして手軽な価格」という当時としては画期的で過酷な開発条件のもと、妥協のない 商品開発と職人たちの巧みな技術力、北欧の歴史や地勢によって育まれた文化、その全てが必然性を持って混ざり 合い生まれたFDB モブラーの家具は、デンマーク国民の暮らしをより豊かなものへと変え、それはまた人々の 美意識をも向上させることに繋がりました。

デンマーク近代家具の父と称されるコーア・クリントに師事したボーエ・モーエンセンがFDB モブラーの初代 企画デザイン担当責任者に就任し、ポール・M・ヴォルタが2 代目を務めました。ハンス・J・ウェグナーなど 名だたるデザイナーがプロジェクトメンバーに名を連ね、数々の名作を世に送り出し、それらはその後に生まれた デンマーク家具の模範となり、今日目にする数々のデンマークデザインが生まれたのです。
